One of the best battery case makers is close to shipping a new rugged and waterproof charging case for the iPhone 6 — later this month mophie’s new juice pack H2PRO will start shipping. If you like to use your iPhone in wet and rugged places, this is great news.
The H2PRO delivers more than 100% extra battery life — basically a full charge from the 2,750mAh battery. That’s 14 additional hours of talk time (for those who still talk much on their iPhones) or 10 hours of web browsing, etc.
When your iPhone 6 is safely inside the H2PRO case, charging is simple: Plugged in, the iPhone 6 charges first, and when it’s full, the case battery starts to charge. Once you’re out and about and have used up some or all of your iPhone 6 battery, a simple button press on the case will start the iPhone charge process.
The H2PRO Waterproof Battery Case Protection
The H2PRO battery case meets MIL-STD810G and IP-68 ratings for drop protection up to 1.2 meters. It’s also dustproof and waterproof down to 1.2 meters for up to 30 minutes.
Touch ID works through the case, too.
So how thick is the battery case? Slightly thicker than a deck of playing cards — 17.4 millimeters. At 4.02 ounces, it weighs slightly less than an iPhone 6 (4.55 ounces), which means the overall weight is about two iPhone 6 units.
