Whoa – Apple Gives ABC’s David Muir Exclusive Access to Apple’s Big Event

ABC News is bragging about its upcoming coverage of Apple’s big announcement on September 9 when the company is widely expected to announce the iPhone 6 as well as its closely held (secretive) iWatch. Apparently ABC’s David Muir is the only anchor with an exclusive, but more importantly, ABC is willing to say the announcement is “groundbreaking.” Kind of makes you wonder if Muir has the inside scoop. The text teases, “Tomorrow Apple will make a groundbreaking announcement – and ABC’s David Muir will be the only anchor with exclusive access as it happens.”

Of course, there’s all sorts of other press who will be onsite at the exact same time, plus Apple device users will be able to stream the event live.

I've been writing about the tech industry since the birth of the email newsletter, and I still remember the clacking Mac keyboards from high school -- Apple's seed-planting strategy at work. I'm a big fan of elegant gear and great tech, but there's something to be said for turning it all off -- or most of it -- to go outside. Online I like to call out cool stuff on Wicked Cool Bite and blog with my buddies at Man Makes Fire. To catch me, take a "firstnamelastname" guess at the url of this site.
