Best iPhone Screen Protector: Power Support HD Anti-Glare Films

Power Support Anti-Glare Screen Protector for iPhone 5

Power Support Anti-Glare screen protector film for iPhone 5

There are plenty of decent screen protectors for iPhones, iPads, and iPods, but there’s one brand and style I turn to time and time again: Power Support’s Anti-Glare line of films. I just put one on my iPhone 5, and I had one on my iPhone 4. In fact, on my iPhone 4, shortly after launch, I installed one of the most popular brands and simply didn’t like the feel of the protector. It felt sort of grabby. My finger didn’t slide over it as smoothly as I would like.

My first anti-glare Power Support was for my iPhone 3G. I’m an outside kind of guy, so the anti-glare feature is what makes the iPhones usable in sunlight.

Any cons?

While Power Support’s HD Anti-Glare screens are fantastic, I do believe they cut just a tiny bit of clarity out of the experience. After all, you are adding a layer between you and the screen images. So what do you get back? You can see your iPhone screen outside or under nasty overhead lights, plus the Anti-Glare models don’t show any fingerprint streaks. Your screen will look cleaner than plain glass and much better than most clear film screen protectors.

Plus, the Power Support screens just seem to go on easier than the other films I’ve messed with. And there’s two of them in each package, usually, so if you really mess up, you can try again.

Anyway, Power Support Anti-Glare protective films. Get them.

I've been writing about the tech industry since the birth of the email newsletter, and I still remember the clacking Mac keyboards from high school -- Apple's seed-planting strategy at work. I'm a big fan of elegant gear and great tech, but there's something to be said for turning it all off -- or most of it -- to go outside. Online I like to call out cool stuff on Wicked Cool Bite and blog with my buddies at Man Makes Fire. To catch me, take a "firstnamelastname" guess at the url of this site.
