An Apple iWatch in the Works?

While the Pebble smart watch is doing pretty well, the rumors of Apple getting into the wearable computing game are running rampant. Apple’s cute little square iPod nano was fitted into watch bands quickly after its release, which was sort of cool and sort of stupid at the same time. And yet, the idea of a smart iWatch that could communicate with your iPhone . . . I must admit, I do like it. If Apple won’t try to control a so-called “iWatch” ecosystem with its own options — but allow it to grow and thrive — then I’m game for an Apple iWatch.

I've been writing about the tech industry since the birth of the email newsletter, and I still remember the clacking Mac keyboards from high school -- Apple's seed-planting strategy at work. I'm a big fan of elegant gear and great tech, but there's something to be said for turning it all off -- or most of it -- to go outside. Online I like to call out cool stuff on Wicked Cool Bite and blog with my buddies at Man Makes Fire. To catch me, take a "firstnamelastname" guess at the url of this site.
