Unfortunately, this means that I sometimes end up settling for less-than-stellar features and functionality. A case in point is Apple’s Voice Memos recording app on the iPhone vs. CaptureAudio by G8R Software LLC.

There’s two great features, not including the sweet interface: Flags and Binders. The flags feature lets you flag spots in your recording that you’ll want to come back to later while the binders is an organization feature that lets you save your recordings into an understandable structure. Both are wicked handy whether you’re a journalist or a student or some dude with ideas that just have to get out. Read more in my review at MacNewsWorld.

I've been writing about the tech industry since the birth of the email newsletter, and I still remember the clacking Mac keyboards from high school -- Apple's seed-planting strategy at work. I'm a big fan of elegant gear and great tech, but there's something to be said for turning it all off -- or most of it -- to go outside. Online I like to call out cool stuff on Wicked Cool Bite and blog with my buddies at Man Makes Fire. To catch me, take a "firstnamelastname" guess at the url of this site.
