Use the Frequency App to Watch All the Cool Channels You Didn’t Know Existed

I thought the Frequency iOS app was going to let me watch all my favorite free online shows from one app. Wishful thinking, it turns out. Still, Frequency lets you watch all sorts of cool “channels” anyway, like National Geographic, Animal Planet, CNN, NOVA, BBC Earth, along side channels like GoPro Camera, which features helmet-cam movies of extreme sports. Or Red Bull Sports, which is basically caffeinated action sports clips.

Unfortunately, Frequency doesn’t include the high-profile network TV shows, even though you can watch them online in a browser. Read my Frequency review for MacNewsWorld.

I've been writing about the tech industry since the birth of the email newsletter, and I still remember the clacking Mac keyboards from high school -- Apple's seed-planting strategy at work. I'm a big fan of elegant gear and great tech, but there's something to be said for turning it all off -- or most of it -- to go outside. Online I like to call out cool stuff on Wicked Cool Bite and blog with my buddies at Man Makes Fire. To catch me, take a "firstnamelastname" guess at the url of this site.
