There’s been no “official” announcement from Apple yet, but I’m betting someone from Apple leaked a firm date for Apple’s iPhone 6-oriented media event. That date? September 9.
That’s a Tuesday, which is typical for Apple.
If tradition holds, Apple will make the announcement and the Apple enthusiasts of the world will start off all gushy and happy while a few naysayers will point their fingers and laugh. Then a few of the Apple enthusiasts will say things like, “Damn, I wished it was going to have this and that.”
If we’re lucky, though, there will be something entirely new that no one was expecting.
Either way, the most persistant rumors point to two versions, one with a nifty 4.7-inch screen and one with a 5.5-inch screen.
After Apple’s announcement, the company will set a date when the new units will be available to order and/or buy outright at Apple Retail Stores, giving people time to grab their sleeping bag before they go stand in line for days.
As for me, I’ll order direct from Apple or my carrier. Camp out in line? I’m a fan of the iPhone, but I’m not a stand-in-line-overnight kind of fan.
What do I want? I want the latest camera tech as well as the 4.7-inch screen, which is the size that I believe offers the best blend of pocketability with working space.
